Hi,
I was born and brought up in Greenock I moved away to the Caribbean and then married an italian and moved to live in Italy I returned here with my family 4 years ago. My older daughter is being married next month in |Italy and for the occasion my husband will hire Highland dress he would like to wear the Inverclyde tartan because it is very nice and because he says that is his only claim to a tartan because he lives in Inverclyde. I ofcouse was delighted that he felt this way , unfortunately we have been unable to do so as neither Smiths nor Keogh & Savage have it, can anyone help with this?

Inverclyde truly has a treasure in all of the wonderful voluteers at ITG. They provided us with a fun and interesting day in your beautiful part of the world. I will always have a warm spot in my heart for Scotland and Greenock in particular, because of these ladies’ and gentlemen’s hard work and hospitality. THANK YOU!!! Lorimer Blanton

My husband and I were so impressed with your voluteers on our visit to your city on the Grand Princess last month. What a surprise to be greeted by men in kilts shaking our hands and welcoming us to Scotland. We took your tour down to Gourock and the girls gave us so much information on the whole area. The weather was perfect the whole day as was the hospitality. The bagpipes and the volunteers waving us good-bye as the ship sailed is a lovely memory of Scotland that we all took away with us.

Hello All,
My hasband and I met Andy S. while we were on a C.I.E. tour last May. We looked up your web site, we both are impressed. We celebrated our forthieth anniversary in our beautiful country, though we did encounter difficulty driving there. We stayed at a B.& B. for one extra night near Lanark. We were unable to trace our anscester Daniel Clyde at that local library. It’s been fun chatting with you....Deb

As a passenger on the QE2 I was delighted by the welcome in Greenock. I travelled with my sister and a friend on this final cruise round the UK. We were very impressed by the boats that followed us up the Firth, the Pipe bands, the crowds - all made us proud to be Scottish. As we are from Paisley it felt as if we were coming home.
We especially liked the welcome at the quayside from the tourist board and the two gentlemen who shook everyone’s hand as they left the ship was very impressive. I know from the comments of my fellow passengers that our Greenock welcome was greatly admired and appreciated. The whole day was wonderful and the final fireworks and farewell certainly brought a tear to the eyes of the many Scots on board.
Many thanks to all involved in organising a memorable welcome - especially the sunshine.
